Security personnel involved in the impending Ops Bersepadu will be operating in groups and wearing their uniforms, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said. The public is therefore advised to be wary of individuals who could be taking advantage of the situation, said Musa, who is the State Operations Director. Speaking to reporters after chairing the State Security Action Committee meeting at Wisma Innoprise here yesterday, Musa said deterrent action will be taken against those found impersonating enforcement personnel and cheating the public. Musa also sought the cooperation of mass media not to publish articles or photographs of the operation which could result in negative perception of the Government and the country. “The operation is a matter of national interest and as patriotic Malaysians, we must support the Government’s efforts and not provide any opportunity to the foreign media to tarnish the image of the country and Government,” he said.
