By-election result won’t influence political direction in State: Musa

KOTA KINABALU:

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has dismissed a recent claim by DAP Perak Chief Datuk Ngeh Koo Kam that the outcome of the in ending Permatang Pauh b election will influence support and political direction of the Barisan Nasional (BN) in Sabah and Sarawak. Musa, who also heads the Sabah BN, said the BN in Sabah and Sarawak leads a strong Government and comfortable majority in their respective State Legislative Assemblies. “As such, I would like to advise the Chairman of DAP Perak to refrain from making a negative speculation of assumption on the BN in Sabah and awak,” he said in a statement yesterday. Musa said Ngeh should instead focus his attention on the administration of the State Government of Perak. “As it is a fact that the majority of the Perak State Government in its Legislative Assembly is rather slim and will collapse at anytime,” he cautioned.
